About our Hips

The new Home Information Pack Legislation means that, in most cases, you will need to commission a HIP before your house can be marketed. It contains documents that are normally required later in the sale process.

The most significant of these are:

- Local land searches from the local authority
- Water and Drainage searches
- Title documents
- The lease for leasehold properties.

It is intended that by having all these documents when a property is first marketed they will not cause delays once a sale is agreed.

In addition to the above an Energy Performance Certificate or EPC is required in the pack. This provides information to help improve the energy efficiency of your home.

HQ Surveys provide a full HIPS service to our clients

HQ Surveys produce a professional report for you to sell your house

How Does it work?

1. A member of the HQ Surveys team will call you and arrange a convenient time to survey the property for the EPC.

2. All the required legal documents will be collected and assembled into the HIP by legally trained professionals

3. When all documents are ready and the EPC is complete, normally after a couple of weeks, the HIP is sent to the vendor and the estate agent.

It’s as easy as 1-2-3.
